Koji Kuroki's Obituary
Koji Kuroki, 75, of Rossville, TN passed away peacefully in the presence of loved ones on 12/14/24 at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN. Born in 1949, he was raised in Kagoshima, Japan by his father Kageyuki Kuroki and his mother Fusako Kuroki. He was a graduate of the International Christian University and had a distinguished career of over 40 years working with Flying Tigers, FedEx and Nippon Express. As a man of many passions, he loved reading a good book, playing and watching soccer and singing karaoke to his favorite Elvis songs. However, he had no passion greater than his love of family.
Koji is preceded in death by his father Kageyuki Kuroki, mother Fusako Kuroki and granddaughter Isabella Watkins.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years Emilia Kuroki, children Ron (Lauren) Stewart, Kolin Kuroki, Megan Kuroki, Erik (Mika) Kuroki, Amy (Jimmy) Weidner, Sachi (Logan) Swanberry, grandchildren Taylor (Cassidy), Emma, Joseph, Charlie, Jackson, Grayson, Millie and Wilson, siblings Katsuhiko (Miki) Kuroki and Kazuko (Sadami) Ueno.
A memorial service will be held Friday December 20th at Memorial Park Funeral Home 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis, TN. Visitation will be from 12pm – 1pm and the memorial service will begin at 1pm. Family and friends are welcome to attend a reception at the Kuroki home immediately following the service. The address will be provided at the conclusion of the service.
