Kirby J. Bishop's Obituary
Kirby J. Bishop, 80, of Memphis, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2009. He was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School and a graduate of University of Tennessee. Mr. Bishop was retired from Dupont Corporation and PMB Biogenics. He was a member of The Instrument Society of America and a member of St. Theresa Little Flower. He is preceded in death by his parents Harvey Bishop and Reba Craig and two brothers Marshall “Cotton” Bishop and Harvey Bishop. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Leonora G. Bishop, two children, his son Kirby Gill Bishop of Memphis, and his daughter Laura (Ross) Johnson of Pine Bluff, AR.A funeral mass will be held at St. Theresa Little Flower Catholic Church at 10:00am on Thursday, February 11, 2009.Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5-7 with a Rosary service at 7 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.The family asks in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Poor Claire’s, St. Theresa Little Flower, or the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
