Kevin Elizabeth Figg's Obituary
Kevin Elizabeth Figg died in her home on November 30, 2025, in Germantown, Tennessee. She was 77.
Mrs. Figg was born in 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended St. Dominic College in Illinois before moving to the Yucatan in Mexico with the Iowa-Yucatan Partners of the Americas program. She married Barton Eugene Figg in 1970. Before she retired, Mrs. Figg worked as a Realtor with Crye-Leike Realtors and served as the director of Success Real Estate School for many years.
Mrs. Figg was a passionate real estate instructor who was well loved by her students. Her sense of humor was legendary, and she lit up every room with her beautiful smile and caring personality. She was happily married to Barton Figg for 48 years before his passing in 2018. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed road trips to casinos, Turner Classic Movies, evenings out with friends and training parakeets to say outrageous things. She touched many lives with her generosity and zest for life.
Mrs. Figg is survived by her children, Erinn, Paul and Barton (Lauren); her grandchildren, Isobel and Reilly; and her siblings, Shaun and Mark. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Patric and Gretchen, and her brother, Michael.
The family will host a celebration of life in Des Moines, Iowa, in spring 2026. They request that those who would like to honor her memory make a donation to Mrs. Figg’s favorite charity, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
