Kerry C. Platt's Obituary
Kerry C Platt, 91, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Mr. Platt was born in Escatawpa, AL and came to Memphis in 1947 where he soon became a successful businessman. He was an avid hunter and loved spending time with his friends and family. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason, a member of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite, a Shriner, past Monarch of Zamon Grotto, and a former chairman of the Grotto of North American Humanitarian Foundation. He served in the Navy in WWII and fought in the Pacific. Mr. Platt is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lettye Sullivan Platt. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 8 from 2:30-3:30 with the service to follow at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or Longstreet United Methodist Church.
