Kent Allen Smith, 56, passed away July 19, 2014 at Regional One Medical Center. Kent was a 1975 graduate of Hillcrest High School and owner of Beverage Center and Midway Liquor. He is survived by his wife, Joy Wells Smith; children, Ashley Bishop (Jacob), Todd Smith and Drew Smith (Kristen); parents, Audrey and LaJuan Smith; grandchildren, Wyatt and Whitt Bishop and Ashby Smith; brother, Gary Smith (Becky); sister, Shannon Phillips (Rodney) and best friend, Brian Stevens. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 22 and the funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 23 all at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis TN, 38119.
