Kenneth Lukas Judd's Obituary
Kenneth Lukas Judd age 87 of Collierville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
He was born to parents, Robert E. and Madeline Judd in Ironwood, Michigan on August 13, 1934.
Ken graduated from Treadwell High School. He proudly served his country for several years in the United States Navy. He was in sales with General Electric Co. for over 40 years. Ken married his high school sweetheart, June L. King in 1954 and they had two daughters, Pam and Jan.
Ken and June were married for 64 years until her passing in 2019. He was such a caring and devoted husband and showed her so much love and attention while she had dementia. Ken was her caregiver and was so patient, kind and attentive to her needs. Even while he was taking care of June he also was there for his daughters and their families. It was his greatest joy to be a part of each of their lives.
Ken was a faithful member of Colonial Baptist church for 27 years. He loved serving on various committees and he helped organize many functions for his Sunday school class. He enjoyed helping with various church projects and found great pleasure in being a part of the Monday morning work group. Ken kept in touch with his high school friends at Treadwell and his friends that worked with him at GE. He enjoyed getting together with them often for lunch or dinner. Ken touched so many lives with his loving spirit. He was the rock that everyone, family and friends, would reach out to in both happy times and in times of need.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June and his mom and dad, Robert and Madeline Judd and his brother Robert Judd, Jr.
He leaves two daughters, Pam Johnson (Ronnie) and Jan Gray (John), 5 grandchildren, Mike Johnson (Cheryl), Blake Johnson (Kelly), Amanda Furnas (Danny), John Gray, III (Moe) and Jeffery Gray. He also leaves 9 great grandchildren. Ken also leaves a sister, Barbara Vollmer and a brother, Tim Judd (Beverly).
Ken’s service will be held at Memorial Park, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN on Saturday, August 20th. Visitation begins at 10:00 and the service is at 11:00. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Randy Bennett, Officiating.
