I served with LTC Cheatham in the 298th CSB. I would like for his family to know that he helped a lot of people over the years and his actions continue to benefit people to this day and will into the future. He helped me with a slot in the Guard, I was able to use my Post 9/11 GI Bill to help get my daughter through pharmacy school. She is able to benefit others on medical mission trips. All because of a decision he made back in December 1988. He was a good guy and I have lots of fond memories from those days. I am saddened to hear of his passing. My prayers are with his family.
