Kenneth Harold Brown Jr., 66, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on April 9, 1959, to Kenneth Harold Brown Sr. and Joy Ann Green. Ken lived a life marked by dedication to his family, pride in his work, and a warm presence that brought comfort to everyone who knew him.
Ken was a graduate of Harding Academy and later attended Logan’s College, where he prepared for a career defined by service and skill. Over the years, he worked as a chiropractor alongside his father, and then ventured into other work passions- fields through which he touched many lives with his professionalism, work ethic, and steady kindness.
He married the love of his life, Debbie Brown, and together they shared 34 years of partnership, laughter, and devotion. Ken was a proud father and grandfather, cherishing every moment spent with his family. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his beloved dog, Dixie; Barry Williams; Kenneth Brown III (Kara); Jessica Williams (Matt); Holley Ride (Clay); and Kelley Brown (Kenneth). He leaves behind grandchildren Kai Williams, Caylan Brown, Kenzie Hancock, Rory Brown, Jacob Hancock, and Kaylee Rose Hancock, each of whom brought him immense joy.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Harold Brown Sr.; his mother, Joy Ann Green; and his cherished fur babies Kirby, Cassie, Midnight and Aiden.
A man who found joy in simple pleasures, Ken loved shopping, spending time with his family, listening to his music and relaxing at home with his pets. He enjoyed watching his favorite shows—Friends, The Big Bang Theory, and Ridiculousness—often sharing a laugh with those around him. He loved his St. Louis Cardinals and Nashville Predators. You often found him listening to a wide variety of music from - Kiss, Penatonix, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Elvis Presley, Led Zeppelin.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 28th at 1:00 PM at Memorial Park
Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter in Ken’s honor, a tribute that reflects his lifelong love for animals.
Ken will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his unwavering love for his family, and the countless small ways he made life brighter for others.
