Kenneth M. Brackeen's Obituary
Kenneth M. Brackeen, 79, born in Booneville, MS. went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2018 surrounded by his family as he took his last breath on this Earth. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Marsha Brackeen, five children, Stacy Ward of Hernando, MS., Tina Cobb of Indianola, MS., Gina Webb of West Helena, Ar., Craig Arwood of Hernando, MS. and Chuck Arwood of Memphis, TN., brother, Jim Brackeen of Humboldt, TN, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.His family eventually movedd to Memphis, TN. where he attended Humes High School “Class of 1957” He joined the Navy in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1963 as a E-5 Petty Officer 2nd Class after serving his time on the USS Ticonderoga CVA 14 aircraft carrier as an Air Traffic Controller. Kenneth was a supervisor at Aoleon Piano Company for 10 years where he met the love of his life, Marsha. He was a Production Supervisor for almost 30 years at National Linen Service, Metro and Uniform Masters. He was a paper carrier for the Commercial Appeal for 30 years. He was an Al Chymia Shriner in the Provost Guard for 40 years and a Mason for 50 years. Kenneth was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Eudora, MS. Kenneth loved the St. Louis Cardinals , Memphis State Tigers and Memphis Grizzlies. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone at anytime. He will be missed by all that knew him.The family will receive friends at Trinity Baptist Church in Eudora, MS on Saturday, September 15 from 11:00-12:00 with the funeral service to follow immediately at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery in Eudora, MS.In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Shriners Hospital for children.
