Ken Anderson's Obituary
Kenneth Roy Anderson, 74, passed away December 15, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN. He was born on May 25, 1938 in Dexter, MO to Maggie and Roy Anderson. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Mary Anderson; two daughters, Michele Botwinick (David) and Tracy Aschenbrenner; four grandchildren, Lindsay and Jordan Botwinick and Madison and Laughlin Aschenbrenner; one sister, Mary Clapp, of Wingo, KY; one brother, W. D. Anderson, of Benton, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Anderson was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid golfer and deep sea fisherman. Mr. Anderson was the founder of Allied UniKing Corporation in 1972. He was also the owner of Germantown Country Club and Kelly Plantation Golf Club, Destin, FL. He was a generous supporter of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and many other worthy organizations and individuals. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, December 17 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Boulevard, Unit 432, Houston, TX 77030-4009, (713)792-2121.
