Katie Sherman's Obituary
Katie Sherman, 96, passed away on January 19th at her residence. She was born on August 23, 1912 in New Albany, MS, the daughter of Henry Clay and Palma Sloan. She married her husband, Edward Sherman in Blue Mountain, MS in 1930. They were married for 78 years. She was a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Edward Sherman, daughter, Wanda Shaw of Little Rock, AR, sons; Paul (Sylvia) Sherman of Memphis, Richard (Irene) Sherman of Texas, and Gary (Carol) Sherman of Memphis. She also leaves seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 22nd at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery; with a visitation starting at 1:30 p.m.Memorials may be sent to Highland Heights Baptist Church, 675 National St., Memphis, TN 38122.
