Kathryn Faust's Obituary
Kathryn George Faust, 66, of Germantown lost her battle with lung cancer on May 4, 2010. She leaves to cherish her memory her best friend and husband of 44 years, James F. Faust, Jr. and her three children: daughters, Kimberly Anna (Lance) Escue and Jeanne Kathryn (Paul) Mercer both of Memphis; her son, James F. Faust, III, of New York, NY, as well as her three grandsons, Lance M. Escue, Jr., Spencer F. Escue and Paul M. Mercer, IV. Kathy also leaves her brothers, William D. George, Michael T. George, George Russell George; sister, Ellen G. Thompson; sisters-in-law, Geraldine (Leonard) White, Jimmie Osbon and Cissy (Michael) George and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell H. and Evelyn Nagel George and her brothers, Russell (Ace) H. George, Jr. and John P. George. “Kaki” especially loved and was adored by her three grandsons. She enjoyed playing golf with friends and acquaintances at Windyke Country Club. Additionally, she had a special place in her heart for the staff at UT Cancer, Memphis Lung Physicians, Memphis Heart Clinic, Baptist Trinity Home Care and Hospice and her friends, John D. Calnon, Martha Bailey and Rebecca Jeffrey, all of whom helped her through her battle. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.., Friday, May 7, 2010 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m.., Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with entombment at the mausoleum. A celebration of Kathy’s life will follow at The Racquet Club of Memphis. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Saint Peter Church, 190 Adams Avenue, Memphis, TN, 38103, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN., 38148, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
