Kathleen "Sassy" Hill's Obituary
Kathleen Saskia Hill, affectionately known as "Sassy," former owner of Knights Out (formerly known as Knights Café) in Byhalia, Mississippi, passed away peacefully in Memphis, Tennessee, on December 24, 2024, at the age of 69.
Sassy is survived by her three sisters: Avis Barrios and her husband Dan of Graceville, FL; Pam Hailey and her husband Rick of Collierville, TN; and Crystal Ridge and her husband Wayne of Byhalia, MS.
She leaves behind her children: Misty Tadder of Byhalia, MS; Michelle Collins of Decaturville, TN; and Chase Hill and his wife Lindsey of Olive Branch, MS, along with others she fostered and adopted with her heart. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Dustin Aaron Burkhardt, Saskia Danyell Griffin, Justin Jones, Linzie Ganey, Kaleigh Collins, Damien Michael Leach, Cauz Allen Leach, Austin Leach, Taylor, Waylon Hill, CJ Hill and Victoria Hill. She also cherished her great-grandchildren: Kaidence Brookes Leach, Croslee Ann Leach, Levi Wesley Ferguson Leach, Blakely Ann Leach, Dakota Jones, AJ Jones, RJ Jones, Reign Jones, Cadence Jones, and soon-to-be Layla Ganey.
Sassy is preceded in death by her parents, James Alfred and Avis Helen Hill of Byhalia, MS; her sister, Sherry Rice of Southaven, MS; her brother, James "Jimmy" Hill and his wife Cindy Hill; and her son, Charles Russell "Rusty" Leach. Sassy's warmth and generosity touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Graveside Services for Sassy will be held on Tuesday, December 31, at 12:00pm in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation an hour prior from 11:00am-12:00pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
