Kathleen Miller Boone's Obituary
Kathleen Miller Boone left this world on Sunday July 29th to join her Heavenly Father; the love of her life, Caldwell Horace Boone; and her daughter, Debra Anne Boone. She was born in Escambia County, Florida but spent most of her 93 years in Memphis, Tennessee. She is survived by her devoted and loving daughter Barbara Boone Hanemann who has shared life and laughter with her for many years. Kathleen is also survived by her granddaughters Jennifer Chandler, Susan Rogol, and Laura Hanemann; grandsons-in-law Paul Chandler and Michael Rogol; great-granddaughters Hannah, Sarah, and Meyer; niece and nephew-in-law Judy and Bobby Amerson. Kathleen will join her siblings Albert Miller, Morris Miller, Lloyd Miller, Myrtle Merchant, Ophelia Franklin, Ruth Vines, Alma Beck, and her parents Lem & Mandy Miller in heaven. Among her many accomplishments, most memorable may be her role as the founder and owner of the Madison Avenue Tonga Club providing performance opportunities for teen garage bands of the Memphis 60’s era. Many facets to the delightful demeanor of hers was her reputation as an avid golfer and one who could dance the night away. Kathleen is lovingly remembered for her glistening mischievous blue eyes, her playful nature, her laughter, her kind heart, “hugging your neck”, and for sharing her love of the Lord with her family and friends. There will be a private graveside service for the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Kathleen’s honor to Les Passees, Inc. or Hope Presbyterian Church.
