Katherine Haney Bartlett's Obituary
Katherine Haney (Kitty) Bartlett, 90, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer. A 1944 graduate of Central high School, Kitty had three separate careers: switchboard operator for Weil Brothers Cotton for 11 years, an adoring mother and housewife for the next 18 years and a business tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service for the next 20 years before retiring in 1993. Kitty was often seen driving friends to doctor appointments and to church, playing some serious games of Joker in the Kirby Pines card room or in the dining room with her dear friends at table 38.
