Karizma Alexis Burks, 9, passed away July 6, 2014 at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She was a student at Brewster Elementary School. Karizma is survived by her mother, Carolyn Burks; father, Thomas McLaurin; sister, Kesharia Amery Burks; grandmother, Rosie Lee Burks; grandfather, Melvin Burks; aunts, Marsha Burks Washington (Darrel), Angela Yancey, Toni Yancey, Latoria Thomas, Tajuana Mosley, Starra Yancey, Dessray Hayes and Danita Hayes and a host of cousins. The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Karizma’s close elderly friend, Ms. Kitty Jones and the entire staff of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 10 and the funeral service 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 11 all at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis TN, 38119.
