Karen Thies' Obituary
Karen Thies was born July 19, 1971, in Forrest City, Arkansas to the late Thomas Moody and Sandra Rice. Karen moved to Covington, Tennessee in 1990 for employment opportunities. Little did she know the pursuit of employment would lead to meeting the love of her life. While working at World Color Press she met Ronald Thies. Karen and Ronald were madly in love for 35 years. Karen worked in various positions including real estate, banking, and logistics. Karen had many hobbies and interests but loved music the most. Her love of music created a lifelong bond with her closet friends. Karen never met a stranger but was very particular about her inner circle. She was a gentle soul who loved her family and friends. She fiercely loved her sister, nieces, nephews, and closest friends.
Karen will be loved and missed. She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Thies; sister Jedonne Clarkson; niece, Alaina Thies; nephews, Brandon Pinegar and Dylan (Destiny); great nephews, Lincoln Pinegar and Dax Pinegar; closet friends, Nicole (Akim) Hinz and Christy (Ronnie) Lemmon. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Sandra, and dear friend Carrie Blevins.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
