Karen Christensen Pinkerton's Obituary
Mrs. Karen (Christensen) Pinkerton, 62, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, with family by her side.
Karen was born in Montgomery, AL, on June 25, 1960. After the family moved to Memphis, TN, Karen attended Bruce Elementary, Bellevue Junior High, and graduated from Central High School in 1978.
An avid animal lover, Karen became a veterinary technician and worked in the field for several years. She also loved camping, horseback riding, and enjoying the great outdoors.
Karen was predeceased by her parents MSgt H.J. Christensen, USMC (Ret.) and Cornelia Christensen, her sister Valerie Christensen, and brother Scott Christensen.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. James Pinkerton, her sons Michael (Portia) Leachman and Joseph Stovall, her daughter Kristine (Steven) Cooke, children by marriage Jennifer and Jeffrey Pinkerton, her sister Camille (Larry) Willman, her brothers GySgt Eric (Laurie) Christensen, USMC (Ret.) and Patrick (Linda) Christensen, 10 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a long list of beloved lifelong friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, August 20 at 12:00 p.m. with a celebration of her life at 1:00 p.m. all in the Riverside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.
