Rev. Karen Ann Mosley's Obituary
Rev. Karen Ann Mosley, age 60, passed away April 14, 2018. She was born November 8, 1957 to W. C. and Virginia Mosley. She graduated from Overton High School and the University of Memphis. She worked 14 years in human resources with Xerox, RCA, St. Joseph Hospital, and Lifeblood. Rev. Mosley received her Masters of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary and was ordained in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, through which she pastored several churches in West Tennessee. She chose a life dedicated to God’s outreach ministry of attempting to meet the needs of those beyond the doors of the church. Rev. Mosley taught philosophy, ethics, and logic at Dyersburg State Community College. She served as chair of both the Presbytery Executive Council and the Board of Trustees of West Tennessee Presbytery. She also served as president of the Dyer County Ministerial Association. A service celebrating her life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 30 at Colonial Park United Methodist Church. She was a great lover of animals and an avid supporter of animal rights. She had numerous “four-legged” children whom she loved dearly. In lieu of flowers, Rev. Mosley requested memorial donations be sent to Sunny Meadows Safe Haven for Pets or charity of donors choice.
