Karen Lee Crosby's Obituary
Karen Lee Crosby, of Memphis TN, was born February 2, 1942 in Erie, Pennsylvania, and died August 2, 2023. She was preceded in death by her daughter Pamela, her beloved husband “Bing”, and her two brothers, Carlos and Gary.
Karen was a sweet and gentle soul who loved reading and gardening, especially her beautiful azaleas. She was also a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.
She held a Masters Degree in Education, and was an educator with the Memphis Catholic and Shelby County Schools. She loved teaching, but her favorite job was being “Mema” to her three grandchildren, Erin, Jeremy, and Ryan. Karen loved baking and cooking for all the holiday dinners, and she held the annual easter egg hunt in her backyard every year.
Karen was heartbroken upon the recent loss of her daughter Pam and the love of her life “Bing” years ago. We hope now they are reunited and dancing in Heaven together.
Karen leaves behind her son Jeff Crosby and his wife Karen of Olive Branch, MS, along with their three children Erin, Jeremy, and Ryan. She also leaves behind two sisters, Donna Lynn Gorman and her late husband Rob of Vacaville, CA; Kay Smith and her husband Paul of Germantown, TN; one brother, Kenneth Mooney and his wife Cheryl of Jeannette, PA and many nieces and nephews.
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26
