Kaelynn Spradlin's Obituary
Kaelynn Rae Spradlin, spread her feathery wings and got her freedom at 10:16 pm on Independence Day, July 4, 2018. Kaelynn fought a long battle with Acute B Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Mixed Lineage Leukemia with a courageous heart, and a spirit and love for life that inspired and amazed anyone who knew her. Even at just shy of 2 years old, she was a leader in God’s love and an incredible example of strength to everyone she knew. Kaelynn came into this world on July 10, 2016 in Oklahoma City, OK. Kaelynn is survived by her parents, Jesse and Kelly Nelson Spradlin, her big brother, Jayce, great-grandmother Geneva Skipworth, paternal grandparents Jerry and Janet Spradlin, maternal grandfather William Nelson, aunts Holly West and Tisha Ingram, and uncle Kyle Sanderson. Kaelynn was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Edna and Charles Nelson and B.C. “Boots” and Josephine Greenhaw, and by her grandmother Deborah Nelson. Knowing they’re reunited in heaven gives us great comfort. Kaelynn lived most of her life at St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee where some of the greatest people on earth helped our little fighter win many victories and shared plenty of amazing memories. Her celebration of life will be held from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 10 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
