June Wilson Wood's Obituary
June Wilson Wood, of Millington, Tennessee, passed away peacefully and found her way over the Rainbow back to Oz, September 25, 2024.
She was born on June 8, 1953, in Biloxi, Mississippi and being raised in a military family, she moved to various states before settling in Fort Worth, Texas for many years while raising her family with her first husband, Steve Wilson.
She later returned to Millington to enjoy her golden years where she met her second husband, Bobby Wood. They enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds on their porch together.
June was a homemaker and loving mother who will be remembered for her compassion for all things in nature. She loved her family, friends, animals, plants, Busch Light beer and Facebook. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
June is survived by her two daughters, Cristina Griffin and Cindy Capo and her granddaughter, Catherine Holliday. In addition, she is survived by her brother Jack F. Lopez and several nieces and nephews.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wood; mother Betty Vaughn and father Laz J. Lopez Jr.; sisters Karen J. Lopez and Dawn L. Moore; brothers Joseph Lopez and Laz J. Lopez, III.
June wished to not have a memorial service, so the family will be spreading her ashes over time in her favorite places. If you would like to pay memorial in some way, please crack open a beer and send her a little cheer to her over the rainbow.
