June Juanita Wilson's Obituary
June Juanita Wilson was born October 12, 1927, near the small town of Roxie, Mississippi. Happily married to her children's wonderful Dad for over 70 years, she passed peacefully into heaven Sunday, June 18, at her home in Eads, Tennessee, at the wonderful age of 95. She is survived by her three children, Ken Wilson, Carolyn Williams, and Wayne Wilson. She leaves one brother, Brandon Mock of Garland, Texas, two nephews, Palmer Wilson and Stuart Wilson of Memphis, and one great-granddaughter, Jordyn Wilson of Pearl, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert E. Wilson and their grandson Jonathan Wilson. June came from very humble means near the cotton fields outside of Natchez, Mississippi. When moving to the big City of Memphis as a young adult, she was attracted to a handsome young usher named Bob at Galloway Methodist Church. That relationship blossomed into a loving marriage on June 21, 1952, that lasted for many wonderful years. June enjoyed family camping and motor home trips, traveling to numerous states throughout the U.S. After the kids were grown, she traveled with Bob on many cruises to various Caribbean islands and many European countries. Many remember June for her radiant beauty, kind reserved demeanor, and attractive smile. Her outward beauty was only surpassed by her deep commitment to her family. She was always at her husband's side at various social gatherings and professional events and enjoyed opening her home to entertain and serve family and friends. Her family, however, always came first. Through her one could learn what love, commitment, and faithful devotion to family are all about. She truly gave her full heart, time, and attention to the making of a happy marriage and wonderful childhood memories. She will be dearly missed by many family and friends.
