Judy M. Kirby's Obituary
Judith (Judy) Murchison Kirby, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt died July 5, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, after a lengthy illness. She was born October 4, 1949, in Sikeston, MO, to Dan and Margaret Murchison. She graduated from Sikeston High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Union University in Jackson, TN. She married James L. Kirby and had three children. She spent her life in loyal service to others in her family, her church and her community. She was a discussion leader in Bible Study Fellowship for several years and a faithful member of Germantown Baptist Church. She shared her love for Jesus with everyone.She is survived by her husband James L. Kirby; her children Amie Kirby Ramsey (Craig), James Matthew Kirby (Shannon), and Daniel Andrew Kirby (Sarah); her five grandchildren James William Ramsey, John Daniel Ramsey, Abigail Reid Kirby, Henry James Kirby, and Sara Elisabeth Ramsey; her sister Margaret Lynne Murchison; her sister-in-law Vicki Dillow Murchison; her sister-in–law Sandra Kirby Northcutt (Bill) and brother-in-law Larry W. Kirby (Barbara); her nephews Daniel Thomas Murchison, Jr. (Gretchen), Timothy Glen Murchison (Melody), William Tyler Murchison (Sally), Patrick Evan Kirby (Ashley); and her niece Beth Northcott Williams (Chad); five great nephews and seven great nieces. She was predeceased by her mother and father and her brother Daniel Thomas Murchison.Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, July 9 from to 11:00 to 1:00. Services will be at Memorial Park at 1:00 with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following.
