Juanita Shelnut's Obituary
JUANITA FRAYSER SHELNUT passed away September 22, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN. She was born January 23, 1930 in Mississippi. She is survived by her husband, Earl Ray Shelnut of Thyatira, MS, and her children: Larry Hawkins and wife, Karen of Memphis, TN, Ralph Hawkins and wife Wanda of Bartlett, TN, Fran Turner and husband John of Pampa, TX, Nancy Hawkins and companion, Charles Campo of Ventura, CA, and stepson, Edward Shelnut of Edwards, MS. Her grandchildren: John, Emily, Amanda, Melissa, Chad, Dorian and Margaret-Ann as well as her great-grandchildren: Ethan, Kellen, Finleigh and Augie will be blessed with the memories and stories of her gifts for years to come. Juanita was an accomplished, multi-talented seamstress and had a passion for her service to God and her church. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, September 26 with visitation from 12-1 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Independence, MS.
