Juanita Victoria Estes' Obituary
Juanita Victoria Estes of Memphis passed away on November 13, 2013. She was born in Mountain Lake Park, Maryland on December 10, 1923. After graduating from high school in Maryland, she moved to Baltimore, Maryland where she studied to become a nurse and then to New York City. While in New York working as a nurse, she met and married Henry Estes on November 23, 1960. After living in Kansas City, Missouri and Bryan, Texas, where she learned to love Texas and the Aggies, they moved to Memphis in 1968. She spent the last 40 years working alongside Henry at Nickey Warehouses, Inc. She was a long time member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, a brother, Ray Wrightsman and two sisters, Catherine Myers and Lola Brotherton. Juanita is survived by her loving husband of almost 53 years Henry Estes; her daughter, Karen Andrews (Charlie) of Germantown; three grandchildren, Tori Andrews, Jonathan Andrews and Michael Andrews; sisters Ruth Keener of Ohio, Susie Isemann (Jack) of West Virginia; brothers, Bill Wrightsman (Margaret) of Ohio and Joe Wrightsman (Diane) of Ohio; brothers in law, Joe Estes (Bobbie) of Illinois and Sam Estes of Texas, a host of nieces and nephews and her co workers who were like family to her. She also leaves behind her two labs, Buster and Bonnie, her constant companions who will miss her terribly.
