Juanita Lane Daniel's Obituary
Juanita Lane Daniel, 74, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on February 27, 2025. Born to Jerry and Laura Lane on December 25, 1950, in Memphis, Juanita spent her early adulthood working as a fashion model and later became an integral member of a title mortgage company.
Juanita was the most patient and loving mother to her son, Jason, and a cherished grandmother, known affectionately as "Mimi." She was an avid reader with a strong faith in God, embodying self-sacrifice, generosity, and tolerance. Her battle with severe rheumatoid arthritis showcased her independence and fortitude, inspiring all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Daniel; her father, Jerry W. Lane; and her brothers, Thomas and John Lane.
Juanita is survived by her son, James "Jason" Weems (Bonnie); grandchildren, Jason H. Weems and Darrell T. Weems; step-grandchildren, Tara M. Weber and Cayla N. Rackley; and siblings, Letitia Meeks and Jay G. Lane (Peggy).
The family invites friends to gather on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM for a visitation, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119.
Juanita was the very best mother a son could possibly have in his life. You will be forever missed. I love you, Mom.
