Juan Jose Rodrigueaz's Obituary
Juan Rodriguez, 71, died March 5, 2021, with family by his side in Memphis, Tennessee.
Juan was born June 26, 1949 in Cuba to Santiago Rodriguez and Concension Medel.
Juan married the love of his life, Riselda “Cookie” on October 4, 1966 will have celebrated 55 years of marriage this year.
In 1980, Juan and Cookie arrived in the United States and came to Memphis. They attended Church of Christ for many years and they now attend Iglesia Piedra Angular.
Juan worked in the HVAC industry and later retired from the restaurant industry.
His interests included tinkering with all things mechanical and repairing old machines, playing dominoes, dancing, cracking jokes, cooking, collecting antiques, spending time with his grandson, keeping document of their daily lives, and spending time with his beloved Cookie, family, and friends.
Juan is survived by his wife, Cookie, daughters: Becky Heil of Oklahoma, and Marleny Rodriguez and spouse Antonio de Preda of Florida; grandsons: Chad Heil and spouse Elizabeth, and Danyer de Preda; brother, Toma Rodriguez and spouse Blanca of Cuba, nieces and nephews, and many close friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by parents Santiago and Concension, and brother Suaine Rodriguez.
There will be a gathering of family and friends Tuesday March 9, 2021 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. There will be a celebration of life Wednesday March 10, 2021 at 10:0 AM at Memorial Park Mausoleum- Rotunda.
