Henry, Joyce Elizabeth's Obituary
Mrs. Joyce E. Henry age 95 of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on June 22, 2026.
She was born on March 31, 1931 in Tampa, Florida to the late Algernon Wesley Boothby and Laura Frances Coe Boothby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Patrick Henry, two sisters, Phyllis Mascio and Shirley Falck, a daughter, Anne Hentkowski, a grandson, Michael Jennings.
She is survived by her son, Steven Henry (Sylvia) of Bartlett, Tennessee, a sister, Pat B. Cummings of Indiana, and three grandchildren, Joseph Henry (Madison), Aaron Henry (Anne Marie) and Rachel Henry.
Joyce truly found joy in singing, first with the chancel choir at her church and later with the Outreach Choir. A very independent woman, she carried herself with strength and grace throughout her life. She also enjoyed attending performances at Theatre Memphis, where she appreciated the arts. Above all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren, faithfully supporting them at soccer games, dance recitals, and all their activities, creating lasting memories filled with love and pride.
Services for Joyce will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at 10:00am at Germantown Presbyterian Church. The family will receive family and friends for visitation on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Joyce to Germantown Presbyterian Church.
