Joyce Dixon's Obituary
Joyce Norris Dixon. Wife, Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 17, 2015. Born on May 17, 1927 in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from Tech High School in 1945 and upon graduation went to work at “Genuine Parts” where she met the love of her life, Clyde Hubert Dixon, Jr. They married on June 3, 1948 and began their life together that was interrupted only by Clyde passing on July 22, 2009. Clyde and Joyce are survived by their two sons, Dickey (Becky) Dixon, and Ken (Debbie) Dixon. Grandchildren: Tracy Jones, Becky Perez, Kenny Dixon, Jr. (Gina), Lezley Bailey (Aaron), Laura Collins (David). Great- Grandchildren: Megan Jones, Zoe Flatley, Addison Bailey, Luke Bailey, Taylor Waddell, Andrew Dixon, Ella Grace Collins, Katherine Ann Collins. Great-Great-Granddaughter: Chloe Jernigan. “Mom and Pop’s” family was their life, attending ball games, recitals, birthday parties, and anything that involved one of their children. If there was something going on they were there. She was a member of Collierville Methodist Church. Service is Wednesday, August 19 at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with visitation 1 hour before.
