Joyce Vancleave Chandler's Obituary
Mrs. Joyce VanCleave Chandler age 88 formally of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on October 2, 2022, at her home in Brandon, Mississippi.
Mrs. Chandler was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 16, 1934, to Ronald A VanCleave and Margaret VanCleave Walsh. She was one of three children, along with brothers Jerry and Larry VanCleave. Her father, mother, and brother, Jerry, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Chandler was the beloved wife of 45 years to the late David Phillip Chandler. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother (Nana), great-grandmother, and friend. Three children survive her; son Ronnie Moore (Betsie), daughters Joyce Johnson (William) and Judy Eady (Rob), along with nine grandchildren; Elizabeth Stewart (Shane), Ronnie Moore (Sommer), Deeanna Mullins (Jake), David Moore (Jaclyn), Erin Delancey (Aaron), Chandler Johnson, Addison Johnson, Lacey Ward (Alex), and Christian Large as well as thirteen great-grandchildren; Brycen, Avery, Olivia, Kayten, Della, Sawyer, Elijah, Levi, James Phillip, Rayner, Rylee, Raiden, and Emma.
As a devout homemaker, Mrs. Chandler was passionate about her family. She loved the Lord and enjoyed watching EWTN Global Catholic Television Network.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 6, at 11:00, with a graveside service following at 2:00 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Popular Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee.
