Joyce B. Bousson's Obituary
Joyce Barry Bousson, born July 16, 1924, lifelong Memphis resident, most recently living at Ave Maria Home in Bartlett, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family June 12, 2014 at age 89. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, James F. Bousson, Jr. She is survived by her three daughters: Judy Teague (Duncan), Dianne Llanes (Kenny) of Memphis and Susan Evans (Moe) of West Palm Beach, Florida. Six grandchildren will miss their Nana: Katherine Sullivan of Houston, Texas; Rob Kuhn of Seattle, Washington; Jim Kuhn of Apex, North Carolina; Rachel Llanes, Nathan Llanes, and Christine Hughes of Memphis. She also leaves six great grandchildren: Brandon Kuhn; Ryan, Claire, and Sean Sullivan; and Harvey and George Hughes.She graduated from St. Agnes Academy. Joyce was a lifelong Catholic and had been an active member of the St. Michael’s and Immaculate Conception Mothers Club, the Ave Maria Guild, the Nineteenth Century Club, and Bartlett Senior Citizen’s Club. She loved to travel and visited destinations across the country and around the world.Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, June 16 at Ave Maria Chapel at 9:00 a.m. followed by funeral Mass at 10:00. Burial is at Memorial Park.
