Josephine Turner's Obituary
Josephine Walter Turner passed away May 5, 2014 at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert Fuson Turner. She is survived by three children, Dr. Robert W. Turner and wife, Shirley Brennan Turner of San Francisco, CA and Memphis, TN; Paul W. Turner and wife, Carole West Turner of Germantown, TN; Joan Turner Lanham and husband, Michael R. Lanham of Dallas, TX; and eight grandchildren, Paul W. Turner II; Patrick F. Turner and wife Alison; Charles V. Brownlee and wife Amy; Leon W. Brownlee and wife Kirsten; Alexander J. Turner and wife Alison; Jennifer Day Turner; Michele B. Lanham and husband Raphael Louie; and Emily L. Beus and husband Jonathan and 12 great grandchildren. She loved to travel having visited 22 countries in Europe, all 50 of the United States, all Canadian provinces, Japan, China, Thailand, New Zealand and Australia. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from Spencerian College, the first woman class president in 94 years of the college. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. Visitation is Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN, followed by the funeral service at 2:30 PM.
