Josephine Hasty Clark's Obituary
Josephine Hasty Clark passed peacefully in her sleep Tuesday October 16th after a long illness.She was an avid gardener, exceptional Bridge player, loving wife and mother. Family meant everything to her; from her parents and siblings to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to who she always showed her love. She grew up in the Nashville area where most of her siblings remained. Even though she lived in Memphis for over 60 years, Nashville was always home to her. She loved music and loved to dance. Anyone who knew her loved her and has a story to tell about her. Our hearts are full knowing the life she led has put her safely in God’s loving arms.She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joe Clark and her son Robert Clark, her parents Joseph and Margaret Hasty, her brothers Paul (Robbie), Marvin (Doris) and Doyle (Ruby) Hasty and sisters Sarah Ignatz (Ernest), Francis Civils (Bill), Evelyn Hix (Roy), and Elizabeth Hintz (Harry).She is survived by her daughter Marty Gaines (Neal), her grandchildren Rick Cherry (Lisa), Melissa DeVall (Jeremie), Kimberly Caton (Larry) and her six great-grandchildren, Harrison, Alexandra, Leah, Joe, Ella and Kiley.Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home 5668 Poplar Ave in Memphis TN from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Friday October 19th followed by a graveside service.
