Joseph Young Robinson's Obituary
Joseph Young Robinson, Age 81, of Hot Springs Village, AR, passed away September 29, 2009. He was born July 8, 1928, in Corinth, MS, to Willie Blanche Jolly Robinson and Joseph Y. Robinson. He graduated from Corinth High School, and was an Alumni of his beloved Mississippi State Bulldogs. It was in Corinth, that he ultimately met the love of his life, Peggy June Hughes Robinson, “Mimi”, and they were married for 48 years, until she passed away on March 18, 2001. Joe served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant, 1951- 1953. His career was started in Sales at Uniroyal Tires, Inc., and he retired as VP of Sales from Strauss-Frank, Inc. in San Antonio, TX.He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Robinson Ceolla (Michael), of Collierville, TN, two grandchildren, Krista Ceolla Crabtree (Chuck), of Arlington, TN, and Brent Ceolla, of Collierville. He is also survived by a sister Lady Joy Curtis (Bill), of Iuka, MS, and a sister-in-law, Millie Hughes Kilzer (Ray), of Beech Bluff, TN. Joe leaves a multitude of family and longtime friends from all over the United States.Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 3, at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church, 700 Balearic Road, Hot Springs Village, AR 71909, where he was a longtime member. Interment following at the OHUMC Grace Memorial Gardens.The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, c/o Dance with Life Team, 1378 Union Ave., Memphis, TN 38104 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
