Joseph Lionel Mazer's Obituary
Joseph Lionel Mazer, 87, of Memphis Tennessee passed away Friday, March 30, 2012. Mr. Mazer was born July 14, 1924 in Birmingham to Eva and Ben Mazer. He graduated from Ramsey High School and summa cum laude from the University of Illinois with a degree in Engineering. He served in World War II and was stationed in China and India. He was the owner of Bari Corporation, Fern Construction Company, Mazer Homes, and in Memphis, Central Hearing Service. He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jane; daughters, Bari Roseman (Barry) and Fern Shinbaum (Kenneth); grandchildren, Evan Roseman, Cyd Falkson (Yoni) and Laurie Shinbaum; brothers, Eph Mazer (Frieda) and J.B. Mazer (Lynette); and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to donate to your favorite charity. Funeral services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home Fireside Chapel, Sunday at 1:00 p.m. with the interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
