Johnnie Ethyl Burrow Ray's Obituary
Mrs. Johnnie Ethyl Burrow Ray , 98, passed away January 15, 2009. She was born on September 7, 1910 in Lennox, Tennessee and lived in Memphis, Tennessee until 2001 when she and her daughter Betty Jean Giordano moved to Tampa, Florida. Most recently she lived at “At Home With Friends ALF.” Johnnie was preceded in death by her loving husband William Hewett Ray and later by her beloved son, William Howard Ray (Bill). Johnnie retired from Holiday Inn Corporate offices in Memphis when she was 62. She cherished and missed her friends and coworkers at Holiday all her days. She leaves her daughter, Betty, three grandchildren, Lisa Mitchell (Wayne) of Seagrove Beach, FL, Amy Giordano Waller (Phil) of Tampa, FL. and Scott Robert Giordano (Kim) of Atlanta, GA., five great grandchildren, Alyson and Natalie Waller, Tampa and Isabel, Michael and Abby Giordano of Atlanta, GA. Johnnie has one sibling living, a sister, Martha Lane Burrow Fenson in Bemidji, Minnesota, and her family.Services will be January 24, 2009 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, with burial to follow at Memorial Park Funeral Home Cemetery.
