John Allen Williams' Obituary
John Allen Williams, 80, of Germantown, TN, passed away on August 29, 2022.
John was born on May 28, 1942, on Como, MS to Newell Thurman Williams and Ruth Goolsby Williams.
He is survived by his daughter, Cathy (Greg) Hankins, son, Newell (Jill) Williams, grandchildren, Jeffrey (Dana) Jones, Jonathon Williams, David (Bethany) Hankins, Matthew (Kathryn) Williams, Nicholas Williams and Cooper Williams, great-grandchildren, Tatum and Blair Williams, Sophia Hankins, T.J. and Jasmine Cooley, sisters, Mary Ann (Stoney) Williams Lacy and Minnie Lou Ash, brother, Newell (Sandy) Williams. Also, his niece Bonnie (Kevin) Zwicker and children Eric (Dawn), Adam (Kelly), grandchildren AJ and Bentley Zwicker.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Newell Thurman Williams and Ruth Goolsby Williams, his wife, Carolyn Sue Love Williams.
He was a successful businessman. His visionary leadership along with the work of his partners, including his sister Minnie, left a lasting impact on the aviation parts after market. He was a man of action that was ahead of his time. He credited his success to a combination of his integrity and business values along with the right business partners and employees topped off with luck!
His love for his family and friends was intensive. He was the patriarch. He and Sue brought their families together and kept them close with family gatherings and close communications. They will both be greatly missed.
There are many stories that need to be shared to keep John and Sue’s memories alive for our future generations. The family would appreciate you sharing those so they may be preserved.
The family will receive relatives and friends at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. all in the Riverside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will follow the interment in the Parkside Event Center at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
