John Walker's Obituary
John Randolph Walker, 88, passed away May 5, 2018 at home. After serving his country in the U. S. Army during post-war occupied Germany, he completed his education and retired as Secretary/Treasurer from City Finance Company almost 30 years ago. He loved the Lord with all his heart and lived it daily. He was a faithful member of Redeemer Baptist Fellowship (formerly named Cherokee Baptist Church) and taught Sunday School in their Exceptional Department for many years.John was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Anne, who he loved and missed every day, and two brothers. He is survived by four children, Bill Walker (Debora), Olive Branch, MS; Kathy Hallmann, Germantown, TN; Debbie Wise (Jim), Covington LA; and Gregory Walker, Germantown, TN; grandchildren Jeremy Allen, Jennifer Moroux (Kent), Austin Walker, Danielle Walker, Hailey Wise and four great grandchildren.Graveside services with be Friday, May 11, 2018 at Southwoods Memorial Park, Hacks Cross Road.Memorials may be made to Shelby Residential Vocation Services (SRVS), 3971 Knight Arnold Road, Memphis, TN 38118.
