John B. Walker's Obituary
John Bracken Walker, 79, passed away June 24, 2015. He was born on April 27, 1936 in Chicago, IL to William and Catherine Walker. He grew up in Memphis, graduated from Christian Brothers High School in 1955 and earned a degree in business from Christian Brothers College. John was the founder and owner of BBM Company. He was the beloved husband of Mary Jo Walker; father of Laurie Tuttle (Brian) and Kimbrough Walker; and grandfather of Meghan, John, and Nick. He is also survived by his brother, Bill; sister, Jean Kopsky; and many nephews and nieces. John was an avid fan and supporter of Christian Brothers University and the University of Memphis basketball and football teams. He was a longtime communicant of St. Louis Catholic Church. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Friday, June 26 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 27 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Poor Clare Sisters or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
