Mr. John Charles Stovall's Obituary
John Charles Stovall, age 47, of Garden City, Kansas, passed away on January 09, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Cynthia Stovall. He is survived by his children, Maya Stovall, Maximus X. Stovall; three aunts, Pat Simmons and Adelaide Ashmoore, Birdie Haire, and uncle Jimmy Stovall (Jo), and many cousins and friends. John was a member of the American Association of Physicists in medicine. He was employed at Heartland Cancer Care Centers and they were very supportive of him in his professional career, personal life and his own treatment. The Memphis Medical Physics Community also meant all the world to him. Aside from his professional career he loved hiking, being outdoors, exploring science, working on computers, and making music. He was very open minded having never met a stranger. He was also a great dad. Visitation for John will be held on January 15, 2020 starting at Noon until 2 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN, 38119. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 PM with Entombment to follow.
