John Thomas Rowe's Obituary
John Thomas Rowe, 73, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Methodist University Hospital. Born in Auburn, KY on July 4, 1936, Mr. Rowe loved reading westerns, religious books, gospel music, and UK Basketball. He was in the US Navy over 26 years, serving in Vietnam and at the Bay of Pigs. He also served at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital Memphis for 26 years as a Pharmacy Technician. Mr. Rowe was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Donna Rowe; parents, Ellis Glenn Rowe, Sr. and Christine Tinsley; brothers, James Barclay Rowe, and Ellis Glenn Rowe, Jr.; and a sister, Christine Ashby. He is survived by a daughter, Amy L. Simmons (Tim); and son, Eric T. Rowe (Laura); seven grandchildren; and a sister, Polly Tyner.
