I feel I was privileged to have known John for the last 7 years. We met at a motorcycle event in Eureka Springs, Ar. We had a memorable ride back to Memphis area on Sunday, trying to minimize our exposure to the heavy rain that fell all day. We enjoyed several motorcycle rides together, and when I relocated to Utah he made two trips out here to ride the western states. He will be missed and remembered.
To family and friends of John, I’m so sorry for your loss. I only knew John a little but learned he was a great story teller. When his son John and I visited him at Thanksgiving, he made me feel welcome and we all laughed a lot. I wish I could have known him longer.
My sympathy goes to John’s family. We worked together at the IRS for many years. He would do anything for you. You are wished peace and comfort during this difficult time.
I am still very sadened by this. Mr. Neece was always very kind and concerned on how me and my family were doing. And as everyone else has said, he was an excellent story teller. Always full of life, and adventure. He will be truley missed. My condolences go out to his family.
A quote John liked: “Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.”
I had the pleasure to work with John for many years at the I.R.S. You will be missed.
We’ll miss you at the Harrison house. Enjoyed every time you popped in. I learned more than I wanted to about motorcycles but you were a great person to be around. RIP John.
It’s been my privilege and honor to know John. I will cherish his friendship always. We were blessed to ride motorcycles together, through the beautiful Ozarks, on several spring and fall days. We would then get the group together and talk bikes, guns and politics. We even had some crazy experiences around a racetrack in Birmingham. As our group of friends gets together, later this April, there will be an empty chair in John’s honor, and sounds will be heard of laughter and joy as his friends remember him fondly. I know we’ll be feeling like he’s right there with us.My thoughts and prayers are with you, John’s other friends, loved ones and family. Thank you for sharing John with us. He’ll always be riding with us in our hearts.Godspeed John, we’ll see you after the ride.– John Geisz – St. Louis, MO ‘Liquidsilver’
Condolences to John’s loving family. I had the pleasure of knowing John through motorcycle riding. John was fully engaged in life and seemed excited to greet every day. He had a positive spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. We will miss you John and will think about you often. Godspeed my friend.Mack Ames, aka “20 valves”
