John Harmon Osenbaugh, 70, of Olive Branch, MS, was lifted up to the Lord after succumbing to lung cancer at Germantown Methodist Hospital surrounded by his family on October 22, 2013.John is survived by his wife Carmen of 38 years, son Keith McClain, son Kevin (Sara) McClain, son Kenny McClain, daughter Judy Osenbaugh, son Jeff Stanton, sister Sue Williams, grandson Shane Osenbaugh Stanton, brother-in-law Ronnie Kaladjian and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. John was a loving father, husband, and friend to all.He enjoyed a 36-year career at MLG&W where he retired as VP, Purchasing. John loved working with children and dedicated 20+ years to the Special Olympics where he touched countless lives, volunteered regularly for his church and was an active coach for boys baseball and basketball. John enjoyed college sports (especially Memphis and Ole Miss), traveling and fellowship with his friends. John was always there to lend his friends a helping hand, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, October 24 at Longview Heights Baptist Church, 4501 Goodman Road, Olive Branch, MS. The funeral service for John will be at 1:00 PM Friday, October 25 at the church. John will be laid to rest at Southwoods Cemetery in Memphis, TN.
