John Robert Moore's Obituary
John Robert “Bob” Moore, 85, of Germantown, TN died Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home Sunday, October 11 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, October 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church. Monsignor John McArthur will officiate.Mr. Moore was born in Kewanie, IL. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Illinois in 1948. He served with the Army Air Corp as a navigator with the rank of second lieutenant in WWII. Mr. Moore was president and CEO of Harland Bartholomew and Associates. He traveled extensively in his work, managing numerous engineering projects throughout the world. After retiring in 1986, he volunteered for SCORE and as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau. For the last 12 years, he worked full time as manager of A+ Sevier Insurance Training until April of this year.Mr. Moore is a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Sons of the American Revolution, Rotary Club, and numerous professional organizations. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Juanita Donnewald Moore, and seven children, Kim Sevier (Tom) of Germantown, Robin Moore of Germantown, Gary Moore (La Rae) of Murfreesboro, TN, Chris Moore (Linda) of Germantown, Lisa Sevier (Charlie) of Collierville, Kamlin Williams (David) of Ripley, TN, and Alison Henry (Vince) of Wooldridge, MO., and two sisters, Meredith Willis of Walcott, Iowa, and Catherine Fox of Waukee, Iowa; 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to the St. Louis School Monsignor Paul W. Clunan Endowment Fund or the organization of your choice.
