John Diamond's Obituary
John Christian Diamond (Ace, Dennie), 81, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, peacefully, in his own home. He was born on April 27, 1933, to John and Clara Heinz Diamond in Memphis, but was raised in both Clarksdale, MS and Memphis. He graduated from Clarksdale High School and from the University of Mississippi. He worked for Fruehauf Trailers and later for Utility Trailers as a salesperson. He leaves many who will miss him immensely, including his daughters, Connie Eldridge of Knoxville, and Dabney Raburn (Mark) of Memphis; grandchildren, Paul Eldridge, David Eldridge, Ashley Yarbrough (Daniel), Matthew Raburn, and Maisie Raburn; a great- grandchild, Cadence Yarbrough; sisters, Carolyn Diamond Reaves of Batesville, MS, Jacqueline Diamond Mullery of CA, and Earl Diamond of IN; 3 nephews and 5 nieces. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann, his brother Albert Harry Diamond, and sister Elizabeth Clara Christley. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 1 beginning at 12:30 p.m. until the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. all at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue.
