It was my pleasure to have known Johnny since we went to Fort N Taylor Grammar Shool together, after whch we attended Whitehave High School.and joimed the Army together, in July 1948, along with Charlie Woodruff. Johnny and I stayed in touch over the years, albeit I did not return to Memphis. Johnny was a great friend and I will always remember him with fond memories and cherish our friendship. God bless Johnny and his family at this time of transition.
Johnny and my dad, Jack Taylor (Johnny’s cousin) would gather with me many times to go over stories about past relatives as I worked on the family tree. He was a really sweet man who I will miss. I know he and my dad spent many hours over the telephone keeping each other company after my mom passed away. Lisa Taylor and Paula DeStefanis (cousin) both send our heartfelt sympathy .
