John William Christofferson, 68, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 in Memphis, TN. He was born November 26, 1949 in Salt Lake City, UT to Lorraine and John Budd Christofferson.John had a gentle spirit, tender heart, and was loved by everyone who knew him and every puppy that ever met him. He loved being outside, gardening, and fishing with his father. He was a proud employee of NSA and retired after 30 years of faithful work. He married his beloved wife Carol on April 5, 1996 and celebrated 21 years of marriage in 2017.John was preceded in death by his parents John “Jack” and Lorraine Christofferson. He is survived by his wife Carol; children Christy (Chris), Steven and Mary (Ben); grandchildren Chris, Christian, Bill and Ben Jr.; sister Karen (David); nieces Susan (Mark) and Claire (Jason).The family will have a private memorial service celebrating John’s life.In lieu the family requests that memorial donations can be made to PetSmart Charities in memory of John.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
