John Frazier Christian's Obituary
John Frazier Christian, died on April 5, 2014, one day after his 64th birthday, after a long, hard battle with heart disease. He graduated from St. Michael’s School and Catholic High and retired as Assistant Vice-President from Management Computer Controls (RIB MC2) after 37 years of service. Frazier will be greatly missed and remembered for his sense of humor, love of cooking, ability to tell a great story, and the love he had for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Frances Christian and son John, Jr. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 46 years Joann, and his sons Mike, Joe (Gara), Jim (Gina) and daughter Lauren. He is also survived by three granddaughters Katelyn, Madison and Michaela, three grandsons Jackson, Jordan and Henry, and one great-granddaughter Sophia, brother Bill Christian of Galesburg, IL, four sisters Elizabeth Crites, Dorothy Brownyard, Anne Allen (George) and Frances Christian, many nieces and nephews, close family friend Beky Anderson and his beloved dog Coco. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Sunday and graveside services will be Monday a t 1:00 p.m. both at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Ronald McDonald House or a charity of choice.
