John Michael Burrage's Obituary
October 24, 1956 - January 5, 2023, John Michael Burrage, age 66, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 5, 2023, at Baptist Reynold’s Hospice House in Collierville, Tennessee. He is survived by his loving wife Sherry of 23 years, his daughter Kristen Ehler (Mike), and his son, Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Greg. Michael graduated from Wooddale High School in Memphis and attended the University of Memphis where he graduated with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree. Michael was a CPA in public accounting for some years. He then worked in the medical device industry around Memphis and eventually retired from the finance department at Medtronic. Michael was passionate about cars, motorcycles, basketball, fishing with friends and especially with his children. He was a member of Kiwanis and Beekeepers Association and loved tending to his beehives. He loved travelling with his wife and friends to many destinations. More than all of this, Michael loved Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Mission Church (Highpoint Church) where he served as an outside door greeter. This was a perfect fit as he had such a vibrant personality, quick sense of humor and a huge heart. His generous and cheerful spirit will always be remembered by his friends and family. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 15, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
